Bellomy Research, Inc. is a full service marketing
research firm that has been providing strategic insight, knowledge and
direction to some of the most respected organizations in the US. Since 1976,
Bellomy Research has been providing consumers, like you, with the ability to
voice their opinions by participating in research surveys and focus groups. You
can be assured your privacy and the confidentiality of your information is our
number one priority. All of the data that Bellomy Research collects in our
research studies report as aggregate information, that is, information about
groups - not individuals. Individual information is never reviewed or
published, as it is irrelevant to the research conducted by our clients. All
individual information provided is held strictly confidential.
Bellomy Research routinely reviews its security features
and privacy practices, and enhances them to better protect your privacy. Such
changes may necessitate modifications to this document, so for up-to-date
information about our privacy practices, please refer to the online version of
this policy. Our privacy practices are explained in greater detail below.
The Information We Gather
Bellomy Research gathers personal information when
individuals participate in one of our research projects. To participate in one
of our projects, we ask that you complete a survey that gathers some personal
and general consumer information. We ask you for this information as a means to
see if you might qualify for a particular research project. Participation in
these surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether
or not to disclose any information. In some cases, if you qualify, we may also
ask for your email address so that we can send you email invitations to
participate in a follow-up survey. If you have been invited to participate in
an in-home product placement test, we may also ask for your name and address so
that we may send your test product. All email contact from Bellomy Research
will be sent to your primary email address that you gave to us when you agreed
to participate in a research project. If you agree to participate in one of our
research projects, any information you provide (name, address, city, state, and
Zip) may also be used for the purposes of incentive fulfillment.
If you take a survey or provide us with personal
information without being a member of one of our panels, the only personally
identifiable information we will preserve is your email address. We do this so
we may contact you if you have won a prize or are entitled to an incentive and
to limit the number of times that you are eligible to take a survey. Unless you
elect to participate in a research project or become a member of a Bellomy
Research panel, we will not contact you for any reason other than to notify you
that you have won a prize or are eligible for an incentive. If you are entitled
to a prize or an incentive, we will collect and maintain such personally
identifiable information, as we are required to maintain or report by virtue of
any law or regulation.
Use of This Information
As part of our survey research process, we gather,
aggregate, and analyze information from our survey participants. We provide the
results of our research (which contain no personally identifiable information)
to our clients, which include governmental agencies, major corporations, and
other organizations. Your survey responses are valuable in guiding the
development and designing of products and services. Your responses to our
survey questions are often used by our clients to make decisions on key issues.
Bellomy Research does not sell or transfer the
personally identifiable information collected about the members of its panels
or the individuals that take surveys for us. Information which is personally
identifiable will only be transferred with your prior permission on a case by
case basis. If you are a member of a Bellomy Research panel, your information
is stored in our proprietary database so we may call upon it to determine which
people match up with specific research studies. If we think your profile makes
you a potential candidate for a study, we will email you an invitation to make
you aware of this opportunity. From time to time Bellomy Research may use
third-party software for email list management, email distribution and survey
participation. In such cases only a minimum amount of information is
transferred to these third parties so as to enable them to perform specific
functions on our behalf. In order to provide certain services, we may on
occasion supplement the personal information you submitted to us with
information from third party sources in order to enhance your profile
information.

service provider, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and
clickstream data. During this process, we may also collect limited information
about your system configuration such as screen resolution and video color depth
in order to determine the best possible presentation. This information will
never be released to a third party and is only used to match you with the
appropriate surveys. Except as provided in our privacy policy, as amended from
time to time, Bellomy Research will never disclose individually identifiable
information without prior permission from you.

policy practices, you will be notified directly. We will take all possible
measures to obtain your consent if the information we collect from you, the
user, is going to be used in a different manner than stated at the time of
registration. Any changes in our privacy statement will be posted 30 days prior
to that change.
Security
Bellomy Research takes strict measures to ensure every
aspect of your information is kept secure. Access to all personal information
is restricted and limited to few key personnel. Our website security is
reviewed on a monthly basis and can only be accessed via a strict password
policy. Bellomy Research will never ask you for private information such as
your credit card or social security numbers as a part of our research. We may
be required by law to ask for your social security number to comply with
reporting laws and regulations if you are the recipient of survey incentives.
Your profile information is highly confidential and will be used only by
Bellomy Research to email you concerning our studies, newsletters, winner
notifications, and incentive redemptions.
Business Transfers
As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or
buy additional assets or transfer services to other business entities. In such transactions, Bellomy Research’s right to
contact its panel members and the information you have voluntarily provided in
your user profile would generally be one of the transferred business assets.
Any sale or transfer of Bellomy Research or substantially all of its business
assets or transfer of services, which included our panels, would be to an entity, that agreed to comply
with all of the material terms of our privacy policy.
