Global VizAble Groups from the Comfort of Home

Bellomy’s VizAble video chat focus group platform is a flexible, smart solution for qualitative research. VizAble’s video streaming technology and online qualitative tools provide the benefits of in-person focus groups while eliminating travel time and costs!

The platform gives moderators and respondents the ability to hear and see each other in real time while the clients watch all from the comfort of their own computers.

A VizAble partnership provides a proprietary, multi-tiered technical screening process and real-time tech support. The simple VizAble Moderator’s Package and one-on-one training also ensures the platform is easy for the moderator and the respondents to use along with a simple, remote view for sponsor clients.

VizAble is Able to:

  • Host up to 8 respondents at remote locations
  • Assemble consumers from multiple-markets for one group
  • Reach low-incidence targets by removing geographical restrictions
  • Get authentic, immediate reactions to questions and stimuli
  • See respondents’ facial expressions and body language
  • Save travel time and costs as well as facility costs

Client Viewing
VizAble Groups allow you to view the groups from the convenience of your computer, eliminating travel time and costs. The VizAble platform is compatible with both PCs and MACs, requires the latest version of Adobe Flash and an internet connection (we recommend a minimum of a broadband connection). Our technical support team is available to answer any technical questions.

In addition to being able to see the respondents and the moderator, the VizAble browser interface allows you to text chat with other members of your team viewing remotely and with the moderator to provide on-the-fly feedback and direction changes. Additionally, this interface provides details about each respondent including demographic and quota group information gathered in the initial recruiting process. There is also a Tech Support “Help” button which if pressed, notifies our team to contact you – by phone or text chat – to help diagnose and solve any problems.

Moderating
Moderators have the flexibility to host groups from the comfort of their home or office without having to travel to a facility. Bellomy has VizAble trained moderators available for projects and also provides one-on-one moderator training on the VizAble platform.

We recommend moderators utilize a dual monitor set-up to accommodate the extra on-screen pods in the VizAble moderator’s view (which includes an on-screen discussion guide and a notes area). Alternatively, Bellomy will provide a VizAble Moderator’s Package including a computer, dual monitors and a webcam with easy 1-2-3 instructions and technical support if needed. This Package is designed to work with the VizAble platform and provides a setup that won’t interfere with a current work station.The VizAble browser interface allows the moderator to see specifications on each respondent including demographic and quota group information. This interface also includes a Technical Support “Help” button and a chat interface for direct contact with the client for real-time questions or changes.

Recruiting
Our comprehensive technical screening process ensures the technical process is as seamless as possible for respondents the day of the groups. By going through this thorough process, we can be sure that respondents’ webcams and computers are set-up correctly before the VizAble Groups. It also allows us to prioritize respondents based on their connection speeds. Our technical support team is also on-hand throughout the recruiting process to help respondents configure their webcams, download software if needed and answer questions.

The day before and morning of their group respondents receive an email with a reminder of the time and date and a link to the VizAble platform. Our phone center also makes reminder phone calls the day before to ensure a strong show rate.

Responding
Respondents are able to see and hear each other and the moderator. VizAble audio system works with their microphone in their webcam so there is no need for headphones or a call-in number. The respondent-preferred “talk” button allows them to speak one at a time keeping them from talking over each other. This also gives each a fair chance for each to respond.

Respondents are also encouraged to use non-verbal communication during the group such as raising their hand if they want to speak, nodding their head, giving a thumbs up and holding up fingers. These gestures help expedite the groups by providing a quick read on overall sentiment.

Reporting
A digitally recorded video transcript of the group is available immediately following the groups. Each client and/or moderator is also provided an online portal to access their archived VizAble projects. There they may view the sessions as many times as they would like or request clips for presentations.
